Essence of Bathurst
This is the perfect fragrance
for you to use to fake a weeks worth of the Bull pit on the day you arrive.
Essence
of Bathurst, what a smell. So how are we going to develope this patented
fragrance? Read on . . .
The idea of Essence of Bathurst was created by Adam Hartwig,
one of the stars of A Tale from Bathurst. Six weeks after the big event,
we set up our tents for a camping trip at the Basin, which is a quick boat
trip from Whale beach, on the outskirts of Sydney. The particular tent
that made the trip to Bathurst hadn't been aired and had this deep rich
smoke and burnt rubber smell to it. The idea was spawned. Just recently
I realised how we were going to extract this fragrance with a few simple
materials.
The Shopping list

1 Toilet Roll.
-
A short length of conduit with radius to match the toilet
roll.

some very green wood and leaves.

the air filter. (CAUTION, MAKE SURE THERE ARE
NO FLAMES NEAR YOUR FILTER, OR IT MAY IGNITE. ALSO, TRY TO COOL THE GASES
BEFORE THEY HIT THE FILTER)
-
Once your supplies have been burnt,
remove the blackened filter and rinse all the black soot in 2 litres of
water.
-
Gently boil off some of the water making
sure the particles don't cling together.
-
Allow to cool then bottle in a spray
pack for that instant '3 day smell' on your trip to Bathurst.
