| This twisty stretch of narrow road is used
to slow the drivers right down as they come in for their pit stops. In
my friends car I managed a lowly 40 km/h through this section but I'm sure
if I really pushed it I could manage 60 km/h.
It was through here that Paul Radisich's tyre came off
whilst entering the pits late in the 1999 FAI 1000 that caused him to severely
damage his front spoiler. He managed to get back out and lead the race
for many laps until his engine blew on the way up the mountainat lap. |
